Project Manager IV

Position Type: Contract - Direct
Location: Chicago, IL - Hybrid (local to IL)

Responsibilities

  • Lead project initiation activities including project charters, scope definition, stakeholder alignment, project plans, and governance frameworks.
  • Establish project objectives, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, assumptions, and success criteria.
  • Lead complex cross-functional projects involving SaaS applications, enterprise applications, integrations, and business systems.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business, technical, and vendor teams to drive requirements and decision-making.
  • Identify and proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, resource constraints, and stakeholder gaps.
  • Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate technical discussions involving system integrations, APIs, data flows, data mapping, interfaces, and downstream/upstream dependencies.
  • Partner with enterprise architecture, engineering, data, security, infrastructure, procurement, and business teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Manage third-party vendors and implementation partners, ensuring timelines, milestones, deliverables, and contractual commitments are met.
  • Drive project status meetings, executive reporting, steering committee meetings, RAID reviews, and governance activities.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk registers, and project documentation.
  • Ensure projects follow established enterprise PMO standards, governance processes, and delivery methodologies.
  • Manage competing priorities across multiple enterprise applications and business functions.
  • Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and dependencies clearly to both technical and executive stakeholders.

Immediate Project Focus Areas

Corporate Real Estate Systems Modernization

  • Lead implementation of a specialized construction/project management platform.
  • Coordinate integrations with Oracle ERP, project portfolio management tools, procurement, invoicing, and other enterprise applications.
  • Manage business and technical stakeholders throughout implementation.
  • Coordinate data mapping, interfaces, testing, deployment, and vendor deliverables.

Environmental, Risk & Governance Systems

  • Lead implementation of enterprise risk, audit, compliance, and governance platforms.
  • Coordinate integrations involving multiple data sources such as fuel management, spend data, regulatory information, and operational systems.
  • Drive requirements gathering, data mapping, integration planning, testing, and implementation.
  • Ensure appropriate governance, reporting, and stakeholder alignment throughout delivery.

Required

  • 7+ years of progressive IT Project Management experience.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise SaaS implementations and application modernization initiatives.
  • Experience managing complex enterprise application integrations.
  • Strong understanding of project management fundamentals including:
    • Project charters
    • Scope definition
    • Project planning
    • Risk and issue management
    • Dependency management
    • Stakeholder management
    • Governance
    • Change management
  • Experience working with ERP ecosystems, preferably Oracle.
  • Understanding of APIs, system interfaces, data flows, and data mapping.
  • Experience coordinating technical teams without requiring hands-on software development.
  • Strong vendor and third-party implementation management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops and drive consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with Oracle ERP integrations.
  • Experience with corporate real estate, construction, procurement, invoicing, risk, audit, compliance, or governance applications.
  • Experience managing portfolios containing SaaS and enterprise applications.
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments with complex application ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
