Description:

Thayer, LLC is seeking a full-time HVAC Project Sales Representative to support our commercial HVAC/R and building services projects across New England. This role combines sales, project management, customer service, and technical problem-solving.


Responsibilities include building customer relationships across multiple markets; conducting site visits to evaluate needs; developing scopes of work, estimates, and proposals; presenting solutions to customers; and managing awarded projects from start to finish, including scheduling, budgeting, materials, vendors, subcontractors, and jobsite oversight.


The HVAC Project Sales Representative also supports forecasting, billing, cost control, and overall project profitability while collaborating closely with field staff, leadership, subcontractors, and customers.


Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering, or 5+ years of relevant trade experience, plus at least 5 years of hands-on construction project management overseeing trade-specific work. Strong communication, customer service, technical evaluation, and problem-solving skills are essential.


A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required. Preferred qualifications include OSHA certification, EPA license, or Maine/NH gas, oil, or plumbing licenses.

The position operates Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional additional hours, and involves a mix of office and jobsite environments with regional travel and occasional overnight trips.
