Job description

The University of Maine at Presque Isle is seeking anย Electrical Managerย to oversee the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of campus electrical infrastructure.ย 

This leadership role manages electrical maintenance and repair projects, supervises electrical trades staff and contractors, coordinates with campus departments and project managers, and supports budgeting, purchasing, and inventory management. The Electrical Manager ensures compliance with all safety regulations while providing technical expertise for complex electrical systems and capital projects. This is an essential, hands-on position that requires the ability to work during campus emergencies and inclement weather, perform physically demanding tasks, and maintain a safe and productive work environment.ย 

The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with availability to assist with emergencies after hours.

This position is designated as an essential position requiring the individual to be able to work during periods of inclement weather and/or campus emergencies.ย

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Maine Master Electrician License
  • Seven years of related electrical experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional experience may substitute)
  • Valid Maine driver's license
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds
