Job description

Job Type: Full-Time (W-2 Employee)

Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Uncapped Performance-Based Commission

Estimated First-Year Earnings: $75,000 - $100,000+ (Top performers clear $150,000+)

About the Opportunity

Are you searching for the best outside sales jobs in Jackson, MS? Do you want the high earning potential of direct sales, but need the security, benefits, and stability of a true W-2 career?

G.T. Construction is expanding! We are launching a brand-new satellite office in the Jackson, Mississippi market, and we are looking for driven, resilient Outside Sales Representatives to serve as Roofing & Storm Restoration Brokers. This is a ground-floor opportunity to get in early with a rapidly growing construction sales team, backed by top-tier production managers and an established local reputation.

In this account management and sales role, you are a project consultant and a homeowner advocate. You will help property owners identify storm damage, navigate the insurance claims process, and protect their biggest investment. Entry-level and experienced sales professionals are welcome—if you have the hustle to succeed in door-to-door (D2D) sales, our comprehensive paid training program will teach you the rest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation: Aggressively prospect for new B2C business through daily door-to-door canvassing in targeted, storm-affected residential neighborhoods.

  • Property Inspections: Safely climb residential roofs, perform thorough visual inspections, and document storm damage (wind, hail, etc.) with photos and videos.

  • Customer Consulting: Present your findings to homeowners, clearly explaining the scope of damage and the value of our premium roofing systems.

  • Claims Assistance: Act as the homeowner’s liaison, assisting them through the insurance claim process and meeting with insurance adjusters on-site.

  • Contract Negotiation: Close sales, sign contracts, assist with color and material selection, and collect initial payments.

  • Pipeline Management: Utilize our CRM to track leads, manage your sales territory efficiently, and maintain excellent customer communication from the first knock to final installation.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Sales Drive: Highly self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable with door-to-door sales. You are target-driven and don't take "no" personally.

  • Physical Ability: Must be comfortable with heights, able to safely carry and climb a ladder, and capable of walking on various roof pitches.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and customer service skills. You can build immediate trust and rapport.

  • Experience: Previous door-to-door (D2D) sales, roofing sales, or general construction experience is a massive plus, but not required. We will train the right person.

  • Licenses: Valid state driver’s license and a clean driving record (strictly required for company vehicle use).

Benefits & Perks

Unlike most roofing companies that hire 1099 contractors, G.T. Construction invests heavily in our team with a secure W-2 structure and top-tier benefits:

  • Lucrative Compensation: Enjoy the financial stability of a base salary combined with aggressive, uncapped commissions.

  • Company Vehicle: We provide a company vehicle to safely and reliably get you to your territories and appointments.

  • Health Insurance: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits available to keep you and your family covered.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO): We believe in a healthy work-life balance. Enjoy paid time off to recharge.

  • Retirement Savings: Build your long-term wealth with our company-sponsored 401(k) matching program.

  • Paid Training: Mentorship from veteran roofing professionals who will teach you exact sales pitches, objection-handling techniques, and construction knowledge.

  • Career Advancement: Upward mobility with direct tracks to sales management and team leadership roles as we scale the Jackson market.

How to Apply

If you have the drive to outwork the competition and want to join a winning team, we want to hear from you. Apply today by submitting your updated resume and a brief note on why you are the right fit for this role.

G.T. Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
