Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex projects that support major construction and economic development initiatives throughout Mississippi and Southern US. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven project leader who enjoys managing high-profile projects, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and seeing projects through from planning to completion. The company partners with both public and private clients to manage technically challenging projects that have a lasting impact on communities across the region.


The ideal candidate has a strong background in project management and thrives in a technical, fast-paced environment. Experience with environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, or natural resource management is beneficial but not required. The company is willing to train the right candidate with exceptional leadership and project management skills.


Responsibilities

  • Manage complex environmental consulting projects from planning through completion.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate environmental assessments, permitting, regulatory compliance, and due diligence activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight for specialized environmental assessments, delineations, and regulatory documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and state and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and provide guidance to technical staff throughout all phases of a project.
  • Review technical reports, project documentation, and regulatory submissions for quality and accuracy.
  • Support site selection and environmental planning efforts for construction and economic development projects.
  • Identify project risks and develop practical solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, civil engineering, environmental engineering, natural resource management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of combined education and project management experience in construction, environmental consulting, civil or environmental engineering, natural resource management, or a related technical field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Experience working with GIS, environmental permitting, or site selection projects is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and project budgets.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, including USACE frameworks.
  • Experience with wetland functional capacity assessments, ordinary high water mark delineations, wetlands ecology, and other environmental field evaluations.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build strong client relationships.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and technical writing skills.


Compensation:

  • $75,000 - $90,000, depending on experience
