Job description

Job Summary:
Worldwide Golf is seeking a Project Manager to perform internal and external project management. The role involves planning, overseeing, and leading projects from ideation through to completion, while collaborating closely with business stakeholders and software team members to implement enterprise applications and services.
Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end project management activities, overseeing the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring strict adherence to budgets, timelines, and key milestones.
• Keep the stakeholders, customers, System Integrator partners and team members informed on project status and in-sync with the latest development schedule and priorities – no surprises!
• Facilitate seamless collaboration across multiple technical and non-technical teams, identifying and breaking through blockers to improve process and communication
• Oversee the implementation of new solutions, feature enhancements, bug fixes, and operational reporting, coordinating backlog items and ensuring timely delivery
• Report on project progress to stakeholders and executives, providing both detailed and high-level summaries, and managing project success criteria and metrics
• Evaluate existing methods and drive continuous process improvements
• Facilitates the current sprint daily scrum, storyboard maintenance, sprint demos and retrospective ceremonies.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Track team performance through key metrics (e.g., velocity, sprint burndown) and use data to drive improvements
• Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the project sponsor and stakeholders, ensuring project objectives and performance standards are met
Qualifications:
Required:
• Project Management of large projects e.g., $500k+
• A strong track record of delivering projects across cross functional areas, including Store Operations, Marketing, Merchandising, IT & Development, Customer Service, Warehouse and Finance
• Technical proficiency in key relevant areas (applications, APIs, and databases). Broad familiarity with e-commerce systems, cloud-based infrastructure, and emerging technology areas
• Candidate should be able to articulate their understanding about project management methodology and stage gates, core components of a PM role (e.g., risk and issue management, managing scope, schedule, budget)
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• MS/BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of Project Management experience; preferred in retail
• 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment
• Experience working with business stakeholders at all management levels to gather, document, and translate functional and technical requirements into Project Charters and manage project plan.
• Strong background in organizing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), developing test plan templates, and coordinating issue resolution during manual and/or automated testing processes
• Proven ability to lead projects using Waterfall methodologies
• Experience with modern software delivery methodologies, including DevOps, Agile/Scrum, integration, and automated functional and performance testing.
• Experience in Smartsheet, Jira and Confluence Applications
Preferred:
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment, able to help with the introduction and adoption of Agile values, principles, methods, and practices
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications
• Experience with E-commerce re-platform.
