Job Summary
The project manager is responsible for taking the lead on planning, managing, controlling, and closing our ERP implementation and upgrade projects. The PM is accountable for driving the project to a successful outcome that achieves the project's stated goals, scope, within the budget and timeline. The PM is an active participant in building the project schedule, planning activities, monitoring project progress, documenting, and driving issues to resolution, and performing project reporting. The PM must create a positive and engaging environment for the project team.
Responsibilities:
Work with our customers, and others within DRI to confirm scope, goals/objectives, and business justification to structure, control, and report on DRI projects of varied sizes and complexities. Coordinate with DRI professional services leadership to schedule consulting and development resources for engagements; includes work to schedule services resources for client projects, matching skillsets to requests and coordinating resource availability.Provide support to our clients by responding to incoming phone calls, emails, and other inquiries, in a timely manner.Ensure successful delivery of projects, particularly through proactive planning, scheduling and monitoring planned and reactive work activities.Play a lead role in communicating the implementation process, approach, and progress of the project to key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.Manage work schedules and deal with redirecting support calls and requests to the appropriate resource.Ensure clear communication throughout the project life cycle.Ensure the scheduled task list is managed throughout the week.Efficiently, effectively, and appropriately establish and manage client expectations through verbal and written communication.Provide follow-up with clients after development project implementations have been completed.Continually assess potential risks and issues for your projects; maintain risk and issues logs and contingency plans.Play a lead role in defining an effective communication strategy for your projects, including communicating with key stakeholders from customers and DRI.Ensure stakeholders and the project structure and definition are aligned and that stakeholders are kept up to date on project risks, progress, and budget.Interact with clients, the consulting and development teams, the services manager, and the Director of Services Operations to confirm new requests have been received and a project schedule date is confirmed.Communicate client feedback to the services teams to develop processes to better serve our clients.Communicate with clients on a regular basis to provide schedule updates.Monitor customer satisfaction for delivered work as well as the customer's expectation regarding level of service and expected delivery dates.Work with the services management to maintain a skills matrix within the department to provide effective use of resources. De-escalate client complaints and report any client concerns to consulting, development and upper management as appropriate.Ensure rework is actioned immediately to minimize the effect on the client.Interact as necessary with the DRI development and technical team, DRI Business Consultants, outside contractors, and clients.Manage and implement changes in communication and scheduling to ensure reliable and timely delivery of services.Ensure that all assigned technical resources have a solid understanding of client business requirements and the plans in place to attain those objectives.Utilize our ERP application (SyteLine/CloudSuite Industrial) (or other software tools) to track customer projects and consultant's reported time and expenses.Support process improvements and projectsRequirements:
CSI / SyteLine experience is required.ERP Project Management (with 5 years minimum of manufacturing ERP software experience).Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience7+ years of project management experience; 5+ years of proven experience delivering complex ERP projects.PMP certification required (PMP certification must be obtained within 12 months from date of hire)A strong interest in developing project management capabilities, toolsets, and methodologies.Ability to travel domestically to client and DRI sites up to 35%.Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience with risk management planning and a demonstrated understanding of Risk management during a projectMust be detail oriented; problem solving skills are critical.Executive level communication and presentation skills are needed for this role and the successful candidate must be able to work well with both front-line team members and executive level personnel. Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Teams and Project)Deadline and detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
