Job description

Project Manager About Themis Intelligence Themis Intelligence builds the Utility Knowledge Base (UKB) and Human-Guided Intelligence (HGI) platforms, redefining how utilities operate. Our systems transform complex operational data into clear, high-confidence decisions. We design software that empowers grid professionals to think faster, act decisively, and operate with precision in critical environments. Every product we ship is built for real-world performance: reliable, observable, and secure from day one. We are an AI-first organization, continuously applying modern tools and workflows to improve how we plan, execute, and deliver outcomes. ------------------------------- About the Role As a Project Manager at Themis Intelligence, you will coordinate and deliver both internal initiatives and external customer-facing projects. This is a delivery-focused role. You will not manage software development directly, but you will support engineering activities through tracking, coordination, and visibility. Across all projects, you will ensure work is structured, visible, and moving forward. You will help establish a lightweight, effective project management approach using AI tools and modern workflows to improve tracking, reporting, and collaboration. This role requires ownership and presence. You will work closely with leadership, internal teams, and external stakeholders to maintain alignment and ensure delivery commitments are met. Given the size of the team, you will build a working understanding of our products, business, and customers, and step in where needed. ------------------------------- In this role, you will * Manage multiple internal and external projects across different stages and priorities * Structure and track work in Notion (source of truth), including timelines, deliverables, and status * Consistently use AI tools to streamline tracking, automate reporting, and improve collaboration * Maintain dashboards with clear visibility into progress, risks, and dependencies * Track milestones, dependencies, and key activities to ensure consistent forward momentum * Run project meetings, capture decisions, and ensure follow-through * Identify risks and blockers early and coordinate resolution * Drive alignment across teams and stakeholders, clarifying priorities and escalating when needed * Support customer-facing projects (pilots, contracts), ensuring clear expectations and delivery * Work with engineering teams to track and report on progress without managing development directly * Develop a working understanding of Themis products, customers, and industry to improve coordination and decision-making * Support presentations or light product walkthroughs when needed * Continuously improve workflows, templates, and tracking approaches * Share lessons learned and contribute to team effectiveness * Operate flexibly in a small team environment ------------------------------- You might thrive in this role if you * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field * Have 5–7 years of project management or delivery experience * Can manage multiple initiatives while maintaining clarity and momentum * Communicate clearly and confidently across teams and stakeholders * Take ownership and are comfortable driving alignment and decisions * Are organized, detail-oriented, and follow through on commitments * Are curious and quick to learn new domains (products, customers, industry) * Are comfortable working in evolving, less-structured environments * Use AI and automation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Notion AI, Zapier) to improve how projects are delivered and executed across the team * Are motivated to continuously improve workflows and team execution ------------------------------- Bonus * Experience with customer-facing projects or pilots * Familiarity with Notion as a primary workspace * Experience in AI, data, or technology-driven environments * Experience in fast-moving or early-stage teams * PMP or equivalent practical experience ------------------------------- What success looks like * Projects are organized, visible, and progressing consistently * Teams are aligned and able to execute with less friction * Stakeholders have clear, reliable insight into status and outcomes * Customer engagements are coordinated professionally * AI tools are actively used to improve efficiency and collaboration * Project management becomes more effective and scalable over time This is a full-time, permanent hybrid role (four days in-office) reporting directly to the President. The salary range for this role is $70,000–$90,000. Interested candidates are invited to submit their cover letter and resume. Themis Intelligence values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of all races, color, creed, ancestry, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, religion, national origin, citizenship status, disability, marital status, family status, and those with disabilities to apply.  We use AI tools to help streamline parts of our recruitment process, but every application is reviewed by a member of our team. Themis is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to providing accommodations for persons with disabilities. If you require accommodation, we will work with you to meet your needs. While we appreciate the interest of all applicants, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
