Job description

Title: Construction Project Manager / Steel Fabrication Project Manager

Location: Fernley, NV 89408

Duration : Full time

Pay rate : Open

Monday–Friday 6AM-4:30PM Friday & Saturday Overtime

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple welding and construction projects simultaneously.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of fabrication and field installation.
  • Review project drawings, blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and production timelines.
  • Coordinate with estimators, shop supervisors, welders, field crews, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project budgets, labor hours, material costs, and profitability.
  • Order and coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and resolve field issues.
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, and project documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding schedules, progress, and project updates.
  • Track project milestones and support quality control and project closeout.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in welding, steel fabrication, or commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of structural steel, welding processes, fabrication, and installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and construction documents.
  • Understanding of construction sequencing and project scheduling.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • AWS welding knowledge or certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar software.
  • Experience with estimating and cost tracking.
