Job description

The Kelly Group is seeking a Pipe Superintendent/Project Manager for work in and around Lafayette, Indiana. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience leading process piping crews.

This position, which will supervise the fabrication and installation of piping systems including boilers, pressure vessels and high- and low-pressure piping, requires the ability to perform these essential duties:

  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site walkthroughs
  • Ability to estimate pipe fabrication and installation
  • Manage and plan project SOW at project locations
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand isometric & P&ID drawings
  • Ability to navigate through company software including AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Navisworks and Autodesk applications
  • Develop clear and detailed project scopes and identify the types and grades of materials and equipment needed
  • Monitor ongoing jobs for cost and schedule adherence
  • Perform and demonstrate the ability to complete work using safe work practices and conduct regular safety meetings with employees
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to company insurer

Other preferred qualifications sought include:

  • OSHA 10-hour or equivalent training
