Job Title: Project Manager - Capital Projects

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee all phases of capital projects, from scope development to commissioning and handoff. This role requires translating approved Project Objective Memorandums into detailed scopes, schedules, and cost forecasts, preparing and issuing RFPs/RFQs, and managing contractor relationships. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement in project execution, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Translate approved Project Objective Memorandums (POMs) into detailed scopes, schedules, and cost forecasts.
  • Prepare and issue RFPs/RFQs and coordinate vendor selection.
  • Manage contractor relationships and oversee installation and commissioning phases.
  • Develop project schedules and ensure alignment with site priorities and annual capital plans.
  • Communicate effectively with operations, maintenance, safety, leadership, and external partners.
  • Ensure proper documentation, training, and acceptance during project closeout.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project execution to build credibility for future capital investment opportunities.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of end-to-end project management experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven ability to develop scopes, manage risk, and coordinate contractors and engineering consultants.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently on-site and manage multiple priorities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Preferred: Engineering experience, PMP certification, experience in metals, titanium, or regulated industries.
  • Strong contract experience across various disciplines, including engineering and construction.

Work Environment

This role is based in-office in Albany and is part of a long-term contract on the capital expenditure team. The company offers a diverse workload that extends over 4-5 years, providing stability and opportunities for career growth. Benefits include 15 days of vacation preloaded and reloaded each year, along with paid holidays such as Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and more. The work environment is collaborative, with multiple consultants engaged for 2-3 years, allowing for shared learning and development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
