Job Description:
Overview
Manage and assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties under close supervision. Usually an entry level supervisor position.
Job Duties
  • Manage field crew in day to day production of projects
  • Exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety
  • Order tools and equipment
  • Interpret blueprints/plans and construct accordingly
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Provide leadership to others through example

Requirements
  • Five (5) years of experience managing dirt crews on highway projects
  • Lift, push, or pull and move up to seventy (70) pounds
  • Climb, kneel, twist, and bend in a various environments
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers
  • Demonstrated experience in utility work supervision to include gravity sewer, sewer force main, storm drain and waterline (NNWW preferably)
  • Responsibilities to include but not limited to everyday operations for pipe installation from approved plans, planning and procuring materials for work, coordinating staff, working with owner representatives, and implementing a safe work place.
  • Be able to communicate in English via verbal and written communications
  • Valid driver license for occasional, required travel
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to physically maneuver by foot minor obstacles at construction projects
  • Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind

Pay Range Commensurate with experience. This position is classified as non-exempt
Schedule Typically Monday through Saturday working as many hours as necessary to successfully perform the job
