Job Summary and Qualifications

The Senior Manager Contracts is responsible for negotiating national agreements within the surgical portfolio to deliver competitive pricing, favorable contract terms, and value for HealthTrust members. Manages a portfolio of approximately $100M-$200M in annual spend and leads strategic sourcing initiatives from development through contract implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sourcing activities including market analysis, RFI/RFP management, supplier negotiations, contract awards, and implementation.
  • Develop and execute contracting strategies that maximize value, mitigate risk, and align with member needs.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms, including risk mitigation, performance requirements, and commercial protections.
  • Present sourcing strategies and award recommendations to internal stakeholders and member advisory boards.
  • Build relationships with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional partners to drive successful outcomes.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting financial, operational, and timeline objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and category dynamics to support sourcing strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, contract management, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience negotiating contracts in the nursing or surgical categories, preferred.
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred.

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills.
  • Ability to interpret financial models and supplier proposals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
