Job description

Bruce Auto Group is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Labourer to support the general upkeep and maintenance of our commercial properties. This hands-on position is well suited for someone who enjoys a variety of tasks, is comfortable with physical work, and takes pride in keeping facilities safe and well maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with general maintenance, repairs, and property upkeep.
  • Support painting, drywall repair, basic carpentry, and minor renovation projects.
  • Complete general indoor and outdoor cleanup.
  • Assist with landscaping, gutter cleaning, and minor exterior repairs.
  • Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and building materials as required.
  • Pick up and deliver tools, materials, and supplies between locations.
  • Safely operate basic hand and power tools.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
  • Assist the Facilities Project Manager and Maintenance Technician with projects as needed.
  • Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Perform other general labour and maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in general labour, maintenance, construction, landscaping, or a similar hands-on role is considered an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Comfortable performing physical work and lifting or moving heavy materials.
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Dependable, organized, and able to follow instructions.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract.
  • Flexibility to travel between Bruce Auto Group locations as required.
