Job description

This position is based out of our Wolf Creek Contracting office in Waterford, Ohio. Team members are expected to commute to the Waterford, OH office each day to support project coordination and collaboration. Remote work is not available for this role.


PRIMARY PURPOSE:

As a Project Manager (PM), you'll be the operational heartbeat behind multiple high-value commercial projects. You’ll lead the planning and execution process, manage client relationships, and mentor rising talent all while ensuring our work is safe, high-quality, and profitable.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prioritize Safety, Quality, and Production by following and enforcing all company standards, systems, and policies.
  • Manage all phases of multiple projects from kickoff to closeout with full responsibility for performance, customer satisfaction, and team success.
  • Develop project budgets, schedules, and logistics strategies in coordination with estimating and field teams and address changes as necessary.
  • Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders. Review terms to ensure alignment with estimates and scopes.
  • Monitor submittals, RFIs, document changes, and potential risks. Proactively resolve project issues before they escalate.
  • Coordinate daily with Superintendents to ensure materials, equipment, and resources are scheduled and delivered on time.
  • Continuously review and update project budgets, job cost reports, project schedules, and financial forecasts.
  • Attend project meetings and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Conduct monthly safety and quality walks to ensure excellence on every job site.
  • Support and lead Assistant Project Managers (when applicable). If no APM is available, all duties and responsibilities belong to the Project Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must complete Field experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Commercial construction experience and excellent math skills are required.
  • Must be able to organize and plan effectively using technology.
  • Experience with Procore construction management software is preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and follow corporate processes and the chain of command.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the Wolf Creek Contracting office in Waterford, Ohio each day.
