The PMP credential, awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI), is globally recognized and signifies that the individual has met rigorous standards and passed a comprehensive exam. These project managers use standardized practices and methodologies to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Many employers prefer or require PMP-certified project managers for complex or high-stakes projects due to their proven expertise.

How does a project manager with PMP certification typically collaborate with cross-functional teams during a project lifecycle?

A Project Manager with PMP certification is often responsible for coordinating efforts across multiple departments, such as engineering, marketing, and finance, throughout the project lifecycle. They facilitate regular meetings, ensure clear communication of objectives and deadlines, and help resolve interdepartmental issues to keep the project on track.
