Job Summary:
The Operations Project Manager is responsible for partnering with the business line stakeholders to achieve strategic priorities of the practice. There is focus in the areas of project coordination, business analysis, process design, ongoing project tracking, and issue resolution to support the department's overall business strategy.
Job Duties:
  • Dept Project Manager
    • Develops project management tools and templates for use by practice team members and leaders, including project schedules and status reports
    • Manages tasks closely to ensure timely completion and alignment with practice quality standards
    • Monitors project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions
    • Gathers and coordinates project-related deliverables to ensure quality and consistency of work products as well as shares project documents appropriately
    • Identifies, follows up, and actively manages any gaps or issues for projects in coordination with respective practice workstream leads
    • Leads project related meetings between key stakeholders, as needed
  • Internal Stakeholder
    • Creates high-quality and well written materials, guidelines, correspondence, and presentations on behalf of leadership
    • Documents and distributes information (e.g. meeting notes, action items, follow up items) from internal project meetings
    • Utilizes subject matter expertise to improve current processes and meet changing data needs as defined by regulatory changes and customer needs. Identifies, recommends, and develops significant, measurable processes to generate efficiencies, reduce operational risk, and increase levels of customer service through faster delivery and higher accuracy
    • Attends internal meetings as needed
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Monitors and evaluates the department's productivity through analysis and reports
    • Assists in the forecast process to help quantify resource needs
    • Provides pipeline and win/loss reports through the BDO CRM database
  • Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • May supervise Operations administrative staff

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree, required

Experience:
  • Five (5) or more years of project management/office operations experience developing and managing project timelines, prioritizing and assigning projects and tasks, and assessing progress, required

Certifications/License:
  • Project Management (PM), preferred

Software:
  • Proficient in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, required
  • Understanding common PM methodology, preferred

Language:
  • N/A

Other Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with a focus on detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
