Job description

McCorvey is one of the largest HVAC sheet metal companies, serving Houston, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Orlando, FL. We specialize in commercial air conditioning, plumbing, piping, and the maintenance of these systems.

We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and efficient Assistant Project Manager Trainee to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Manufacturing Facility Leads to gain hands-on experience in the different departments involved in fabricating ductwork. Additionally, you will rotate through fieldwork with our Journeymen to learn the installation process. Before assisting with any of our high-profile projects, this training is essential.

We are looking for candidates with an eye for detail and a go-getter mentality, eager to synchronize all project elements and contribute to successful operations. As an APM Trainee, you will assist in coordinating project activities, ensuring compliance with cost, schedule, document control, and quality standards. Under the guidance of a Project Manager, you will take on various responsibilities to gain a comprehensive understanding of the industry.

Requirements:
  • Must be willing to complete hands-on Manufacturing Facility and Field Project Training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture (required)
  • Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply
General Responsibilities:
  • Rotate through different departments in our Manufacturing Facility
  • Work in the field to learn ductwork installation processes
