What is a project manager superintendent?

A Project Manager Superintendent is a professional in the construction industry responsible for overseeing both the management and field operations of a project. A project manager can serve as a superintendent if they have the necessary construction knowledge, leadership skills, and relevant certifications such as OSHA or PMP. While the roles have different focuses—project managers oversee planning and budgets, superintendents manage on-site operations—overlap exists, and some professionals perform both functions depending on the project size and company structure.
