Job description

Position Summary

As a Construction Project Manager, you will oversee both residential and commercial reconstruction projects. From start to finish, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Unlike new construction, our rebuild projects present unique challenges, and no two days are the same. You will interact daily with subcontractors, in-house skilled tradesperson, property managers, and insurance professionals.


Opportunity

This position will allow you to interact with both commercial and residential property owners. You will work with some of the best subcontractors in the business. As your skills grow, you will have the chance to take on increasingly complex projects. This role can lead to the next step in your career as a Construction Manager.


Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of hands-on experience managing insurance reconstruction, remodel, or new construction as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Supervisor with residential or commercial construction projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in various phases of construction
  • Solid understanding of residential buildings systems (framing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical), and finish trade sequencing
  • Proven ability to build and manage schedules, buyout and coordinate trades, and perform jobsite quality control and punch-out
  • Experience managing job-level financials including budgeted and actual expenses, gross margin targets, and change order control
  • Ability to conduct site walks, climb ladders, and work in active construction environments
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Possess client-facing skills to communicate effectively with all involved parties throughout the reconstruction process
  • Experience working with time and materials
  • Valid driver’s license with a stellar driving record
  • Xactimate estimating (highly preferred)
  • Contractor’s license (preferred)


Compensation and Benefits

As a Construction Project Manager, you will receive a base salary plus bonuses based on profitability. Your compensation will vary by experience level. This can be discussed during the first interview. In addition, you will be provided with a company vehicle or car allowance, fuel card, laptop, smartphone, and all the tools you will need to assure success.
