Join Our Team as a Project Engineer!
ABEL Construction Company is looking for a skilled Project Engineer to join our growing team. If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are ready to contribute to exciting projects, we'd love to meet you!
Role Overview: As a Project Engineer, you'll be a key player in ensuring our projects run smoothly, from start to finish. You'll coordinate all aspects of the construction and administrative process, helping to keep our bid packages and scopes of work organized and on track. You'll monitor vendor and subcontractor compliance, streamline information flows, and ensure everything is moving forward according to schedule. Attention to detail, a love for structure, and an appreciation for the power of good documentation are a must. Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate: Partner with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Preconstruction teams to finalize bid packages and scope of work for CM projects.
  • Support: Assisting the Project Team with organizing key deliverables, such as:
    • Schedule of Values and monthly owner billings
    • Cash Flow (Draw) Projections
    • Project Schedule
    • Submittal Schedule
    • Reviewing, Processing and Tracking Submittals
    • Reviewing, Coordinating and Tracking ASI's
    • Reviewing, Creating, Processing and Tracking RFI's
    • Supporting the Project Superintendent with Daily Reports, Manpower and Subcontractor Coordination
  • Document Control: Work with the Project Management Assistant to develop and manage a document control process that integrates with all project management systems. Once in place, ensure smooth and consistent oversight.
  • Compliance: Obtain and maintain necessary construction permits to ensure that all work complies with regulations.
  • Organization: Maintain accurate and up-to-date files on contract documents, subcontract records, plans, specifications, and any changes or clarifications.
  • Communication: Keep your finger on the pulse of the project by maintaining and updating internal and external stakeholders on any document changes.
  • Change Orders: Prepare and determine the appropriateness of subcontractor change orders, ensuring they are processed with the Project Manager.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with a wide range of project stakeholders to keep everyone on the same page.
