Project Superintendent - Site Development Company: Vallencourt Construction (Family-owned)

Location: Georgia / South Carolina border south to Glynn County, GA (regional travel required)

About Us Vallencourt Construction is a family-owned site development and underground utilities contractor. We deliver high-quality civil construction projects and value long-term relationships, safety, and craftsmanship.

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead site development projects across our service region (from the GA/SC border down to Glynn County, GA). The Superintendent will oversee field operations, coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety and quality standards, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily field operations for site development and underground utilities projects
  • Manage and coordinate crews, subcontractors, inspectors, and vendors
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules
  • Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe jobsite (OSHA compliance)
  • Track daily production, material usage, and equipment needs
  • Maintain project documentation: logs, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reports
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers, owners, and inspectors
  • Ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications
  • Anticipate issues and coordinate solutions to keep projects on schedule

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent on site development projects (required)
  • Strong knowledge of underground utilities, earthwork, grading, erosion control, and general site utilities
  • Ability to read construction plans and specifications
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (regional travel required)
  • Commitment to safety and quality
