You as a Special Projects Manager (Building Group) will:

  • Oversee all work that is considered Special Projects (Projects range from 50K to 60M)
  • Provide financial reporting to the area manager & provide a detailed summary report of all active projects
  • Plan the staffing of all operational staff; mentor and support all members on the special projects team
  • Review and complete the IPR's and PM reports for all projects in specials
  • Assist with business development with clients and consultants and assist with pursuits and bids that are being submitted for specials projects
  • Review project schedules and problem solve issues contractual, technical, and emotional
  • Complete the performance reviews all the members of the team and work with each of them on their career development

Is this the right role for you?

  • 5+ years of experience in construction or relative technical knowledge in construction
  • Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is an asset
  • Full knowledge of contracts, trade coordination and client relations
  • Ability to motivate and inspire their team
