Job description

Senior Project Manager
Lead Commercial Construction Projects with Speedwell Construction
At Speedwell Construction, we don't just build buildings-we build lasting relationships, exceptional teams, and careers with purpose.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager who thrives on leading complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. If you're passionate about delivering exceptional work, mentoring others, and partnering with owners and project teams to build projects the right way, we'd like to meet you.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Project Manager, you'll be entrusted with leading high-profile commercial projects while serving as a mentor and leader within our organization. You'll work closely with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field leadership to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You'll:
  • Lead commercial construction projects from contract award through final completion.
  • Direct preconstruction planning, buyout, scheduling, budgeting, and project execution.
  • Build strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Oversee project financial performance, billing, forecasting, and change management.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Partner closely with Superintendents to ensure exceptional field execution.
  • Champion Speedwell's safety culture across every project.
  • Mentor and develop Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Administrators.
  • Balance quality, schedule, cost, and customer satisfaction on multiple projects simultaneously.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a proven construction leader with the ability to confidently manage large, complex commercial projects while developing the next generation of project managers.
Qualifications include:
  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience
  • Experience managing $70M+ commercial projects
  • Experience with multistory hotels, apartment communities, or similar large commercial developments
  • Experience with precast construction and post-tension concrete structures
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, scheduling, contracts, and project financial management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and construction management software
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Who You Are
You're the type of leader who:
  • Takes ownership and delivers results.
  • Builds trust with clients and project teams.
  • Solves problems instead of creating them.
  • Develops others through coaching and mentorship.
  • Maintains high standards without sacrificing relationships.
  • Leads with integrity and professionalism.
Why Speedwell?
At Speedwell Construction, our culture is built around four core values:
  • Diligence
  • Respect
  • Humility
  • A Sense of Urgency

These values shape every decision we make and every relationship we build.
We believe the best projects are delivered by people who genuinely enjoy working together, solving challenges, and continuously improving. You'll join a company where your experience is respected, your leadership is valued, and your contributions make a lasting impact.
If you're ready to lead meaningful projects, mentor exceptional people, and help shape the future of commercial construction, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and build something that matters with Speedwell Construction.
