Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

The KLA Communications team is looking for a Communications Strategist to lead KLA's participation in technical conferences and publications. You will bring cross-organizational communications and organizational acumen to build KLA's external technical conference and publication strategy - aligning papers, presentations and sponsorships with product goals, regional priorities and corporate messaging.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead KLA's strategy for participation in external technical conferences and seminars

  • Establish, refine and manage processes and resources supporting KLA-authored technical papers

  • Partner with senior product staff to develop external paper and presentation strategies that support product and business objectives

  • Collaborate across product teams to establish clear strategies, key messages and positioning for papers and presentations at top tier industry conferences

  • Partner with regional teams to identify high-impact conference and seminar opportunities and manage content that supports regional priorities and messaging

  • Proactively identify priority conferences and seminars; manage submissions, issue internal calls for papers, and track key deadlines, approvals and required processes

  • Review and approve paper content to ensure compliance with KLA brand, product, portfolio, messaging and trademark standards

  • Own and maintain a centralized library of technical manuscripts for the KLA community

  • Repurpose high-value papers and case studies into blog posts and social media content

  • Partner with other communications functions to define the social media strategy for promotion of technical conference papers and participation

You will need:

  • Ability to lead crossfunctional collaboration with senior product leaders to drive clear, strategic direction for technical papers

  • Ability to coordinate messaging to define strategies across product teams and subject matter experts

  • Ability to manage conference and publication assets, databases and processes

  • Strong communications skills for dissemination of conference details, procedures and deadlines

  • Strong editing skills for technical manuscripts and presentations

  • Ability to create blog or social media content in partnership with product teams and editorial and social media leads

  • Organized and skilled at managing multiple concurrent projects to deadline

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to navigate diverse priorities and establish sound conference paper strategies

  • Ability to manage projects and collaborate with a global team

  • Familiarity with industry standard workflows that support technical and research paper development, review and submissions for conferences

  • Knowledge of the semiconductor market and our company's position within the market; bonus for experience with KLA's products through previous positions in applications, engineering or product marketing at KLA, a semiconductor company, or another semiconductor equipment company

  • Highly organized and detail oriented, with a strategic mindset

  • Solid project management skills; good with process implementation and enforcement
