We are seeking a motivated individual with expertise in one-man field operations using robotic total stations and RTK GPS. Projects typically involve mapping and property work to include the integration of drone-based aerial imagery, along with some construction stakeout.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with project managers to understand survey requirements and objectives

  • Plan, prepare, and organize survey field projects, including the allocation of resources and equipment

  • Lead and supervise a survey crew, providing guidance and direction to ensure efficient andaccuratesurvey operations

  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills of survey team members.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment

  • Conduct field surveys using various surveying instruments, such as total stations, GPS receivers, data collectors, drones, and 3D scanners

  • Ensure that surveys are conductedin accordance withproject specifications, industry standards, and legal requirements

  • Oversee the collection ofaccuratefield data and measurements

  • Implement quality control measures to verify the accuracy and reliability of survey data

  • Review and analyze survey data toidentifyand resolve discrepancies

  • Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments and equipment

  • Coordinate with the equipment manager to ensure that all surveying tools are in good working condition

  • Communicate with clients to understand their surveying needs and address any concerns or issues

  • Provide regular updates on project progress and ensure client satisfaction

  • Enforce and adhere to safety protocols during field surveys to prevent accidents and injuries

  • Promote a culture of safety within the survey team

What You Bring:

  • Associate degree in surveying, geomatics, or a related field; Higher education preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in land surveying with at least 1 of those years in project management

  • Proficient in the use of surveying instruments and software

  • Capable of working primarily in an outdoor work environment and occasional office environment

  • Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally with or without an accommodation, sometimes over substantial distances

  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • Drone license is preferred

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities

  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and best practices

Salary Range:

The compensation range starts at $33.00 and is based on experience and licensure.
