Your main responsibilities

Your main responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for full cycle project management of high-quality, financially successful new installations. You will collaborate with sales representatives, field superintendents and customers to meet specifications and resolve technical issues. 

Project Management:
   Oversee new installation projects to ensure efficient, profitable close-out
   Provide approved submittals and ensure timely delivery of materials from vendors
   Collaborate with the Field Superintendents to monitor job progress and address potential delays with action plans
   Partner with Engineering and local & regional management for successful completion of the project
   Maintain vendor relationships and assist with monthly forecasting and budget planning
   Identify change notice opportunities, prepare paperwork, and secure customer approvals before work begins
Financial Ownership: 
   Manage project revenue, size, and adherence to fulfillment guidelines
   Ensure timely invoicing, targeting 90% payment prior to elevator turnover
Customer Relationship Management: 
   Establish and maintain critical customer relationships to support project success.
   Submit certified payroll, including tracking worker hours, wages, and fringe benefits in accordance with prevailing wage laws
Quality & Safety Compliance: 
   Ensure compliance with customer and Schindler requirements for quality, performance, and passenger safety
What you will learn  
   Knowledge of Schindler's products, services and fulfillment standards through live classroom trainings, time in the field and self-study learning platforms
   Participate in a three-day in-person onboarding training focused on New Installation (NI) tools and processes
   Benefit from one-on-one mentorship to enhance your skills and accelerate your understanding of the business
   Gain hands-on experience with project management software and organizational tools

 
What you bring

What you bring
   Bachelor's degree preferred
   Excellent written and verbal communication skills
   Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel

 Preferred 
   Experience in the construction, elevator or related building systems industry
   Familiarity with SAP, Lotus Notes, and project management software like Procore
   Ability to read schematics and blueprints 
   Strong financial acumen
