Job description

Aluma-Form Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Systems Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality management systems (QMS) within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience in a similar role and hold a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. This role ensures that all quality processes and procedures are compliant with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal goals for operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the companyโ€™s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and other applicable regulations.
  • Manage internal and external audits; lead preparation, execution, and response for audits by customers, registrars, and regulatory agencies.
  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement of quality systems, procedures, and documentation control across all departments.
  • Use Lean Six Sigma methodologies to lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives that reduce waste, increase efficiency, and improve product quality.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) systems to address systemic quality issues.
  • Ensure proper training, deployment, and compliance of the QMS across the organization.
  • Support product launches, engineering changes, and process modifications to ensure they meet all quality system requirements.
  • Maintain and improve quality-related digital tools, including document control, audit tracking, and corrective action workflowsโ€”preferably using tools like Microsoft SharePoint and SAP.

Work Environment:

  • This position is based in a manufacturing and office environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required (<20%), including supplier, customer, and outlying facility visits. Current passport required.

Required:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing quality systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or Lean Practitioner Certification.
  • Strong working knowledge industry-specific QMS frameworks.
  • Experience leading audits, developing documentation, and training internal teams on QMS practices.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in SAP for quality and production data tracking.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint for document control and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated success in Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Experience with tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and statistical process control (SPC).
