PMO Lead

ROLE:

Head of PMO is a seasoned veteran with 20+ years of experience within a manufacturing or development environment. Supporting all cross functional teams within the organization on any project, process or strategic initiative that has been identified for implementation/development. Ensures alignment of all strategic initiatives for engineering, value-add outsourcing efforts, procurement processes, and quality objectives. This role owns delivery of all projects and initiatives and supports alignment across functions to meet cost, quality, delivery as well as customer and organizational expectations. Develops a long term strategy with the cross functional teams and clearly identifies success criteria for the initiatives.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is experienced in leading complex initiatives. Has the ability to manage competing priorities, and driving results across multiple stakeholders in a cross functional environment. This role operates with complete level of independence, anticipates risks and guides the team for corrective actions and recovery options before they impact the business. Influence and assists others on key initiatives across the organization that drive meaningful impact.

Is a leader withing the cross functional organization. Has the ability to support strategic initiatives and address concerns as they arise within the cross functional teams. Clearly communicates to the leadership team objectives and actions that are required to drive success within the organization. Drives teams to ensure that objectives are meet and that committed timing and actions are achieved.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Cross-Departmental Coordination:

Serve as the primary liaison between all cross functional leaders and the senior leadership team

Facilitate effective communication on all initiatives and projects.

Monitors projects status and performance and intervenes as required.

Ensures the project teams are clearly communicating with the customer and stake holders an engages when required

Interface with the customer or cross functional team as required to resolve issues and  ensure that expectations are meet per commitments

Project Execution Support:

Reviews and report progress on programs and initiatives engages where required to resolve concerns.

Works with the cross functional teams to ensure that key items identified are resolved

Coordinate with the PMO team to ensure project plans are realistic and achievable and communicates any deviations to the leadership team.

Monitors all projects performance and ensure they are meeting the committed expectations to the customers and organization.

Supports the development of recovery plans as issues arise and takes key decisions as required on projects and ensures that the project is successful

Outsourcing and Supplier Integration:

Strategizes with Procurement and Value-Add Outsourcing teams to identify, long term strategy with third-party service providers for machining, finishing, packaging, or other post-casting operations.

Ensure teams consider are aware and monitoring outsourced operations and they are aligned with quality, cost, and delivery expectations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing) or 25+ years related work experience
  • MBA in Business or Engineering a plus
  • 20+ years of Project Management or Design Development experience (Automotive/Equipment Manufacturing experience a plus)
  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing)
  • Foundry/casting experience
  • PMP Certification or Agile Certification a plus
