Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple commercial construction projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for providing overall management direction, setting project objectives, and maintaining strong relationships with prime client contacts. This role requires a professional with extensive expertise in construction management and a strategic approach to project delivery. The Project Manager will work closely with on-site construction managers and ensure the timely, cost-effective, and quality execution of each project. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Direct and oversee all aspects of multiple commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards. 
  • Client Liaison: Maintain primary contact with clients, ensuring all project objectives, expectations, and policies are clearly communicated and met. 
  • Project Planning & Strategy: Establish and implement project goals, objectives, and policies, ensuring that all activities align with the overall company strategy. 
  • Financial Management: Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial goals. Address any issues related to cost overruns or discrepancies promptly. 
  • Construction Oversight: Supervise and coordinate the activities of on-site construction managers, ensuring that projects are executed in compliance with safety standards and construction specifications. 
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and delays. 
  • Reporting & Documentation: Regularly report on project progress, financial status, and performance to senior management and clients. Maintain comprehensive project documentation. 
  • Problem Solving: Resolve any operational or construction-related issues that arise, ensuring minimal impact on the project's success. 
Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or a related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction management, with a proven track record of successfully managing large, complex projects. 
  • Extensive experience with budgeting, financial management, and cost control on construction projects. 
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and regulations. 
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders. 
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each one meets the required objectives and deadlines. 
  • Proficiency in project management software and other industry-related tools. 
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards and regulations within the construction industry.
