Senior Municipal Engineer / Project Manager โ€“ Water & Wastewater

A leading consulting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Municipal Engineer/Project Manager to support a diverse range of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead design and construction services for systems such as pumping stations, forcemains, watermains, treatment facilities, and related municipal servicing.
Your Role

Youโ€™ll provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary projects, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance. Youโ€™ll also help strengthen client relationships, support business development, and mentor junior team members.
Key Contributions
  • Build and maintain strong client and agency relationships.
  • Support land development activities with water/wastewater expertise.
  • Lead and mentor engineering and technical staff across multiple offices.
  • Manage and deliver multidisciplinary projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Oversee design, modelling, analysis, and review of municipal infrastructure.
  • Guide internal teams and subconsultants, prepare proposals, and contribute to Class EA and MECP processes.
  • Represent the firm as a technical specialist with clients and external partners.
What You Bring
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related engineering.
  • P.Eng. in Ontario with 10+ years in municipal water/wastewater systems.
  • PMP designation (or eligibility) considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of federal/provincial/municipal regulations.
  • Experience in communal water/wastewater systems, process engineering, and transient analysis.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency with design software, MS Office, MS Project, and related tools.
