Description
This position is responsible for successfully managing projects and resourses, supporting key customer deliverables to the highest customer satisfaction, while driving cost, quality and timeliness. The project manager is accountable for profitability and customer satisfaction for all projects.
Requirements
Planning, prioritizing, and executing a project by working with internal teams: Business Development, Operations, Purchasing, Engineering and Accountants as
well and external customers and stakeholders. This includes project planning and initiating, procurement, integration, time, cost, scope
Maintain clear communication with customers regarding mutual expectations while monitoring customer satisfaction.
Seek and understand customer processes for proper alignment of expectations
Organize and lead a matrix project team as required.
Develop and maintain project-specific RACI matrices to clearly define roles, responsibilities, decision authority, and stakeholder involvement.
Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project (MS Project).Ensure all commitments are met in accordance with pre
established project goals/objectives including the development of Detailed Design Documents, ATP and Closeout Reports
Demonstrate control of equipment deliverables, service costs, project activities and customer hand-over requirements
Report on project financials and schedule progress based upon project goals
Analyze project data to predict project overall success
Seek out change opportunities and recommend new or revised strategies for project integration
Manage closure of project through customer final acceptance. Ensure an on-time and in-budget project
Evaluate and communicate final success of project. May manage multiple projects at one time
May manage projects with larger scope and budget than less experienced Project Managers
Working knowledge of specific equipment and/or materials used in the performance of the essential functions of the job
Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality to minimize risk of errors
Ability to lead teams and contribute as a team member
Proficient in Microsoft Office & MS Project
Demonstrated leadership skills, and ability to prioritize effectively.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects in parallel.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and in making decisions
Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures
Excellent communicator with great skills in managing customer expectations.
Manage local offices and facilities.
Perform basic accounting and inventory levels within local office.
Will perform inside sales duties, supported by the VP of the region
Encouraged to set up processes and procurement initiatives
BS or BA degree from an accredited institution preferred
2-3 years experience in project management, and/or related functional area in a communication systems company preferred. Field installation and
troubleshooting experience a plus
Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Confident, assertive, great attitude, strong organizational skills, and a self-starter.
