Overview


Client First Technologies currently is seeking a Project Manager/Project Management Specialist, Senior in support of our government customer. The Project Manager/Project Management Specialist (Senior) leads and independently performs complex program and project management activities for the government customer, working on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of programs.


This a hybrid remote work opportunity; the onsite location is Patuxent River, MD.

Requirements:
  • Apply analytic techniques to evaluate program/project objectives; analyze requirements, status, budget, and schedules
  • Track actual vs. planned task and milestone completion dates; prepare written documentation explaining any milestone variances within thirty (30) days of planned completion
  • Prepare and present Project Status Reviews (PSRs) as part of monthly reporting requirements
  • Prepare draft cost estimates and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates for new projects, customer requirements, and application re-engineering efforts
  • Support IT project management using Agile and Kanban methodologies; use Azure DevOps Server as the primary configuration and project management tool
  • Participate in ITSMO meetings, technical and operational process discussions, and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) reviews
  • Collect, complete, organize, and interpret data relating to acquisition and product programs; apply government-instituted processes for documentation and change control


Qualifications

All qualifications are required unless specifically marked as preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or Master's Degree (MA/MS) in a business, technical, or engineering discipline or related field
  • More than ten (10) years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description
  • Works on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of the program; performs all functional duties independently; may oversee less senior staff
  • Education Substitution (non-degree options): Six (6) years of additional work experience related to the labor category functional description may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree; alternatively, an Associate's Degree plus four (4) years of additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. An Associate's Degree requirement may be met with a High School Diploma or GED plus two (2) years of additional work experience.


Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Occasional travel and overtime may be required


Required Clearances and Screenings

  • This position is subject to a government background investigation and requires an active SECRET security clearance. Candidates with a current DoD Tier 3/NACLC or equivalent background investigation (e.g., Active Secret) are preferred.
