Job Title - Project Manager
Work Location - Cranbury NJ (On-site)
Job Summary
Project manager is one of the key roles in WuXi Biologics network. A project manager is expected to work with highly diverse cross-function team and client around the globe, to accomplish deliverables within designated timeline and budget. Project manager is expected to manage both technical and non-technical affairs in the project progress.
Responsibilities
  • Manage biologics development project in a cross-function team. Serve as interface between WuXi Biologics and clients in Biologics CMC development program.
  • Develop and manage project in respect of scope, timeline, budget, quality, communication, risk, procurement, stakeholders in accordance of the mission and goals of WuXi Biologics and clients.
  • Proactively identify potential risks related to technical execution, timelines, resources, and compliance. Organize cross-functional discussions and drive the development and implementation of effective risk mitigation and resolution plans.
  • Organize and lead internal and external project meetings to update progresses. Keep both WuXi Biologics team and clients updated in a timely manner on the project progress and decision points through teleconferences, e-mails, site visits or other suitable means.
  • Monitor timeline and contract for accuracy and follow up on any discrepancies with clients and internal personnel. Confirm the completion of work by stage with client and ensures invoices are sent to client for processing.
  • Coordinate the internal and external resource, and support or manage related team to achieve technical excellence (biologics development technical innovation and alignment) and/or operation excellence (operational efficiency improvement and new workflow / platform setup).

Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in Chemistry/Biologics Science, Engineering or related major with 0-5 years of applicable work experience. Exceptional candidates with related Bachelor degree and related working experience will also be considered.
  • Competency in Microsoft Applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Outlook, etc.
  • Understand the overall workflow of biologics development or at least one of biologics functions, including but not limited to biologics discovery, cell line development, cell culture, purification, analytical (bio)chemistry, formulation, DS/DP manufacturing, regulatory, quality, engineering qualification/validation, etc.
  • Experience in project/program/portfolio management in any industry. Knowledge in Project management science is highly appreciated. PMP certificate can be a plus.
  • 0-5 years of project management experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CDMO industries preferred.
  • Strong understanding of CMC development and manufacturing processes, as well as fundamental knowledge of GMP regulations and product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication skill with problem solving capability is a must. Capability of working in a highly diverse team in both culture and technical background is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese will be a strong plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong logical thinking, execution capability, and accountability for project timelines and deliverables.
  • Fast learner with a strong willingness to continuously improve project management and technical knowledge.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $96,000
