Barex is expanding its restoration and reconstruction operations into Columbus, Georgia, and we are looking for an experienced Reconstruction Project Manager who is ready to help us build the market from the ground up.
We are not a franchise. Barex is an independent, growing company with operations across multiple states. That gives our team more flexibility, greater recognition for strong performance, and real opportunities to advance as each market grows.
This is not a position for someone who needs every system and resource already established. We are looking for someone who can manage projects, develop local subcontractor and vendor relationships, solve problems, and help establish our reputation in the Columbus area.
The right person will have the opportunity to grow into a larger leadership role as the Columbus division expands.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage residential and commercial reconstruction projects from the approved scope through final completion
  • Review estimates, contracts, selections, sketches, photographs, and supporting documentation before production begins
  • Inspect job sites and confirm the scope of work
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, material plans, and build strategies
  • Prepare, review, and manage accurate scopes and estimates using Xactimate and other digital tools
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, permits, and material deliveries
  • Build a dependable network of subcontractors and vendors throughout the Columbus market
  • Lead crews and subcontractors in the field to keep projects moving

  • Conduct quality-control inspections throughout production
  • Ensure work is completed according to the approved scope, schedule, safety requirements, and Barex quality standards
  • Resolve customer concerns and construction issues professionally

What You Bring
  • At least three years of experience in restoration, reconstruction, remodeling, or residential construction
  • At least one year of project management, supervisory, or crew leadership experience
  • Experience using Xactimate is required
  • Insurance restoration experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, permitting departments, and inspectors
  • Self-directed, dependable, and willing to take ownership
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • IICRC certifications are a plus

Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary of $50,000–$75,000, depending on experience
  • Commission based on production and performance
  • Truck or vehicle stipend available for candidates who use their own suitable work vehicle
  • Company phone or phone allowance
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Training and certification opportunities
  • Strong advancement opportunities as the Columbus division grows
