Employment Type: Full-Time | On-SiteAbout the OpportunityOur client is an award-winning luxury custom home builder with an outstanding reputation for delivering exceptional residential projects throughout the Nashville market. They are known for their commitment to craftsmanship, collaborative culture, and delivering an exceptional client experience from concept through completion.They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the construction of high-end custom homes from preconstruction through final completion and warranty. This individual will manage all aspects of field operations, including scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, quality control, safety, and client communication.This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction leader who enjoys taking ownership of projects, solving problems proactively, and delivering exceptional homes while working alongside a highly respected team.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Preconstruction
  • Lead preconstruction meetings and site walkthroughs.
  • Review plans, specifications, permits, scopes of work, and project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules.
  • Coordinate long-lead material procurement and subcontractor mobilization.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, permits, inspections, schedules, reports, and change orders.
Project Execution
  • Manage daily construction activities from groundbreaking through final completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, labor, equipment, and inspections.
  • Interpret construction drawings and resolve field issues.
  • Establish daily and weekly expectations with trade partners.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling or production challenges before they impact project milestones.
Schedule & Budget Management
  • Monitor project progress against established schedules.
  • Track project costs and identify potential budget concerns.
  • Review invoices, deliveries, and subcontractor performance.
  • Ensure change orders are documented, approved, and executed appropriately.
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, or project timelines.
Quality Control & Safety
  • Maintain exceptional quality standards throughout every phase of construction.
  • Conduct milestone inspections and manage punch list completion.
  • Inspect material deliveries for quality and accuracy.
  • Ensure jobsites remain clean, organized, safe, and compliant with applicable regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety and accountability on every project.
Client & Team Leadership
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for homeowners.
  • Provide consistent communication and project updates throughout construction.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, inspectors, suppliers, and internal leadership.
  • Lead subcontractors through clear expectations and accountability.
  • Support warranty work with professionalism and urgency.
  • Mentor field personnel and encourage continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of construction project management experience.
  • Luxury custom residential construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
  • Buildertrend experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
