Since 1979, Prime Machine, Inc. has been a leader in providing emergency industrial equipment repair, new component fabrication, and precision manufacturing services. We serve industries where downtime is not an option, including Mining, Power Generation, Aerospace & Defense, Oil & Gas, and other mission-critical sectors.
Over the years, we've expanded our capabilities to include:

We take pride in our role as a trusted partner to customers who rely on us for solutions to their most complex manufacturing and repair challenges.
About the Role - Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our manufacturing operations team. This role requires a highly skilled leader with a deep technical foundation in manufacturing or mechanical engineering, combined with advanced project management expertise.
The Project Manager will serve as the central coordinator for assigned manufacturing projects, ensuring they are scoped accurately, scheduled effectively, cost-controlled, and delivered to exceed customer expectations.

  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing adjustments, and change orders with customers as projects evolve.
  • Ensure compliance with all contract requirements, quality standards, and industry specifications.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships, representing Prime Machine's capabilities and reputation for excellence.

This role is ideal for a high-caliber project leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where precision, accountability, and technical expertise are critical to success.
Requirements
Must-Have:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification with demonstrated application in manufacturing environments.
  • 7-10 years' experience in project management within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of machining, welding, fabrication, and mechanical systems.
  • Proven success managing complex, multi-phase projects with tight tolerances and high customer expectations.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, cost estimating, scheduling, and quality systems.
  • Advanced skills in contract management, including terms review, negotiations, and compliance.
  • Strong computer proficiency in project management, ERP, scheduling, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and build strong customer relationships.

Preferred:
  • Experience in industries served by Prime Machine, such as Mining, Power Generation, Aerospace & Defense, Oil & Gas, or Hydro.
  • Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards and application to manufacturing.
  • Hands-on background in machining or fabrication, with the ability to support technical problem-solving.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing practices, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies.
