Summary:

Position Description: Program Planning, Project Management

We are looking for a project manager to develop and update project plans for the technical and security related projects that support the operation and maintenance of the infrastructure. There is an opportunity for the work to extend beyond June 2017.

Duties:

Primary job duties include the following:

Develop milestones and detailed task level plans, including assigning resources and level of effort.

Facilitate project status meetings

Develop issue logs and document risk mitigation strategies

Utilize a strong understanding of software development methodologies when developing project plans

Utilize a basic understanding of technical infrastructure components to drive questions to ensure completeness of plans

Create status reports and presentations using Microsoft products or Google Docs.

Track the status of project tasks by communication with task owners

Maintain concurrent project plans

Author documents to summarize risks, issues, solution alternatives, status or other for delivery to customers and executives

Participate in post release command centers to take calls, maintain call logs and facilitate responses from subject matter experts. Document executive summaries of issues.

Minimum Requirements:

o Minimum of 3 years of experience in a system development environment

o Minimum of 3 years' experience developing and managing technical project plans

o Minimum of 5 years' experience as a project manager

o Clear Communicator (written and verbal)

o Expert knowledge of common business applications; such as, Google Docs, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Microsoft Project

o Strong analytical and research skills using the Internet and other tools

o Strong verbal communication skills and ability to facilitate a planning session or meeting

o Understanding of data governance, including the security requirements for PII and PHI.

o Must be able to work independently and be proactive in reaching for information

o Must be comfortable in an environment with rapid change and many concurrent projects

Desired Experience:

o Understanding of a government environment and data governance

o Experience in the application of commonly accepted concepts and practices specific to the design and development of technical documents

o Available for occasional non-business hour work
