Sound By Design is a full-service event entertainment company specializing in high-energy DJ experiences, audio production, and event enhancements that bring celebrations to life. From weddings and private events to large-scale productions, we create seamless, memorable moments through music, lighting, and expert executionโ€”and it all starts with a strong team behind the scenes.


As a DJ Assistant, youโ€™ll play a key role in supporting our DJs and ensuring events run smoothly from start to finish. Youโ€™ll assist with equipment setup and breakdown, help manage music flow and event logistics, and provide on-site support to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to grow your skills in live audio, event production, and DJ performance.


Key Responsibilities Include

  • Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting DJ equipment
  • Set up and break down audio, DJ booths, and lighting equipment
  • Support DJs during events (song requests, timeline cues, mic handoffs, etc.)
  • Help maintain energy and flow of the event alongside the DJ
  • Perform basic audio troubleshooting with training provided
  • Ensure equipment is handled, stored, and maintained properly
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in the warehouse and event spaces
  • Follow direction from DJs, Project Managers, and Team Leads
  • Interact professionally with clients, guests, and vendors
