Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Project Manager, Medical Equipment Planner, you will serve as the central hub for medical technology and equipment support across all CommonSpirit Capital Projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of equipment planning, from initial programming and technology assessment to the final installation within our MBO Master Facility Plans. By acting as the primary liaison between clinical teams, architects, and vendors, you will ensure that all medical facility designs are both architecturally compliant and operationally optimized.

Every day you will facilitate the production of complex equipment drawings and documentation, ensuring seamless integration between clinical needs and architectural blueprints. You will provide critical early-stage estimating support to design teams, track Master Facility Plan budgets, and manage the coordination of equipment delivery schedules. To be successful in this role, you will possess a deep understanding of medical technology acquisition and project management within a healthcare setting. You will demonstrate the ability to lead consulting groups, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate effectively with regional support teams, including clinical engineering. Your expertise in obtaining specifications for Type 1 medical devices and your ability to navigate the complexities of large-scale capital projects will be essential to maintaining our standard of excellence in patient care environments.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Oversee comprehensive medical equipment planning, including programming, budgeting, and technology assessment for major capital projects.
  • Produce and maintain architecturally significant equipment drawings and documentation for master facility planning.
  • Lead coordination efforts between MBOs, stakeholders, and medical equipment vendors to finalize selections and technical adjustments.
