Position Summary

This role is responsible to manage the effective delivery of assigned projects by providing end-to-end guidance on solution design, scoping of work, building a plan and timeline, issues escalation, resource allocation, and monitoring project activities throughout the entire project management cycle. Responsible for project discovery, initiation, planning, execution, implementation, and communication pertaining to business solutions and objectives/goals, and monitoring and reporting on activities through project closure. Responsible for the management of assigned projects, including small, mid-sized, and large/complex projects.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with functional business departments and sponsors to create, review, and gain approval of project scope, objectives, and the project plan to determine the timeline, funding, and resource allocation for the various project phases.
  • Manage and direct the planning, management, and completion of assigned projects; develop and define detailed work plans and project deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines and milestones.
  • Ensure appropriate approvals are obtained for each project phase and that team members understand expectations, timelines, and scope.
  • Manage and execute the details of the project including the plan, schedule, resources, task assignments, risk, scope and budget; track progress and monitor project management activities to ensure projects are completed according to determined schedule and budget.
  • Report schedule, budget and delivery details to business and department management.
  • Advise or make recommendations to management of interim plans, potential issues, mitigating strategies, and implications of requested scope or resource changes.

  • Assist with business project intake.
  • Collaborate with IT project managers on projects that heavily involve both Supply Chain business and IT resources, ensuring there is alignment on project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and deliverables.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) in Project Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Three Years progressive broad-based information systems and/or business experience; prior project management experience and skills (planning and organizing) to include implementation projects or work process cycles from inception to completion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact and influence associates and management at all levels.
  • Strong organizational, project management, negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to resolve issues with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to understand, analyze and communicate technical designs, project issues and status effectively.
  • Report writing experience required (or willing to complete training to obtain).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management lifecycle and processes.
  • Ability to articulate technical information to a variety of audiences.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).
  • May be required to travel up to 10%.
