Job Summary

J.C. Higgins Corp. seeks Project Manager - Plumbing Division. Since 1924, J.C. Higgins has been developing a strong reputation for value-added relationships among New England's most highly regarded corporations and institutions. In fact, repeat construction projects from clients like these, account for over 80 percent of our business. As a result, we've grown into the Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire region's largest fully integrated mechanical contracting company, providing a single-source solution for complete mechanical systems and services.ย 

Compensation Range: $110,000.00 to $165,000.00

This position is bonus eligible.

  • Member of local Plumbers Union / JCH Contributing to Union benefits

Annual Salary range = $110k to $155k plus union benefits

  • NOT a member of local Plumbers Union

Annual Salary range = $120k to $165k plus Standard JCH benefits

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • The Project Managerย is responsible forย leading all aspects of the project activities for the projects assignedย in accordance withย project goals, budget, qualityย controlย and companyย objectives.ย 
  • Responsible for providing project management resources to act for the company in mattersย pertaining toย the successful progress and completion of assigned projects according to established budget,ย schedulesย and contract documents.ย Ensures adherence to project budget and reports any potential risks or discrepancies toย the Vice president of Plumbingย and during the budget review process monthly.ย 
  • Understands complex project plans, drawing specifications andย scheduleย as well as the resources necessary to complete the project on time and within budget.ย 
  • Ensuresย accurateย andย timelyย project documentation, including but not limited to, RFI's submittals, schedule updates, time records, supplemental work orders, change order pricing, and general project correspondence.ย ย 
  • Coordinate with the Superintendent and Project Field Staff toย determineย the priority of job - especially when dealing with scheduling conflicts for labor and equipment.ย 
  • Establishes,ย maintains, and tracks performance standards for all work performed on assignedย project.ย 
  • Perform regular inspections of all work performed on assignedย project.ย 
  • Adheres to the Company uniform project management procedures and cost accounting standards.ย 
  • Foster andย maintainย consistent and uniform cooperation among all departments in the company.ย 
  • Prepare Project expense budgets,ย revenueย and profit projections for the Vice President of Plumbing.
  • Provides consistent supervision and monitoring of all work performed on assignedย project.ย 
  • Provideย technical advice to both clients and employees working on assignedย project.ย 
  • Works with the Plumbing Estimating Team ย on theย bid mark-up thatย areย consistent with the volume and profitย objectivesย for the Project and Company.ย 
  • Review estimates and proposal scope letters.ย 
  • Review RFQ/RFP documents for the solicitation of subcontractors and vendors.ย 
  • Possessย a high levelย ofย expertiseย in all phases ofย mechanical/plumbing/HVACย installation andย construction.ย 
  • Enforce compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, safetyย standardsย and contracts and report all variances toย [Insert Title].ย 
  • Maintain confidentiality of work and anyย companyย project knowledgeย 
  • Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to Mangement Teamย with recommendation for resolutionย 
  • Alignsย assignments to achieve customer and companyย objectiveย 
  • Other related duties as assignedย
