Job description

Job Overview

RQ Construction is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join our Field Operations team, located in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This position leads mechanical projects for a large-scale ambulatory care center and dental clinic, offering a competitive salary range of $130,000-$150,000 and benefits including company-provided housing, vehicle, utilities, quarterly trips to home, foreign income exclusion eligibility, medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k), life insurance, health savings account, and paid time off. Relocation to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba is required along with a valid passport and comprehensive background screening.

Responsibilities

Our Mechanical Project Managers supervise, direct, and coordinate all mechanical construction activities on projects, collaborating with mechanical trade superintendents, subcontractors, and RQ team members. They ensure high-quality work within government requirements, budget, and schedule, from conceptual design to project completion, supporting RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Qualifications
  • A 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education required.
  • Courses in project management, construction management, mechanical trade school, BIM, and CADD are preferred.
  • Five or more years of work experience as a Mechanical Project Manager managing projects with a mechanical scope of at least $5,000,000 (commercial/government) is required.
  • Government, military, or large commercial construction experience is preferred; designโ€‘build industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing projects in medical centers, dental facilities, or other healthcare environments is preferred.
  • Computer literacy in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Primavera P6 is preferred; training can be provided.
  • Specific software literacy in BIM is preferred; training can be provided.
