Summary/Primary Role:

Brightcore Energy is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to play a pivotal role within our team based in Armonk, NY/Brooklyn, NY. This position is strategically positioned to make substantial contributions to the expanding growth of our Geothermal Development team. The key responsibilities involve managing a diverse range of development responsibilities, both in-office and on-site, to ensure the successful implementation of geothermal projects.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in collaborating closely with project stakeholders to craft comprehensive construction plans, budgets, and timelines aligned with project goals.
  • Support the on-site project management activities, including overseeing drilling operations and subcontractor activities under the guidance of the Construction Project Manager.
  • Assist in managing the subcontractor and vendor process, including vetting, sourcing, quoting, and onboarding procedures.
  • Lead the permitting research, submittals, and approvals process.
  • Assist in coordinating all project deliverables on monday.com, involving engineering, drilling operations, subcontractors, vendors, and the Construction Manager.
  • Assist in establishing and managing Procore data, including daily logs, RFIs, invoice approvals, budget, and change orders.
  • Collaborate in creating a comprehensive master project schedule for execution.
  • Work alongside engineering teams to ensure design specifications align with project requirements.
  • Support the drilling operations team by coordinating work orders and addressing vendor requirements for on-site equipment rentals.
  • Assist in coordinating and executing crucial construction tasks for renewable energy sites, both exterior and interior aspects.
  • Participate in supervising and coordinating all exterior and interior construction activities, including demolition, installation, renovation, and preparation work.
  • Maintain oversight of construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards, conducting regular inspections, and implementing quality control measures.
  • Support in establishing and enforcing protocols for site preparation, infrastructure development, and overall construction, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality project completion.
  • Assist in resource allocation, including equipment, materials, and labor, to optimize construction efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Assist in upholding stringent safety and quality control measures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Facilitate regular meetings to communicate project goals, expectations, and updates effectively.
  • Support in monitoring project expenses, tracking costs, and providing comprehensive budget status reports to senior management.
  • Perform any other duties and projects as assigned by the Construction Project Manager.
  • All other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years' experience with project management (both field work and remote office work) in general construction.
  • Experience with geothermal heating and cooling systems preferred.
  • Understanding of construction process, experience with permitting, building codes, safety requirements, subcontractor / vendor management, site supervision and scheduling.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of the regional technical standards, building regulations, codes and safety requirements.
  • Extensive travel to customer sites in New York and New Jersey.
  • Experience with Procore and Monday.com not needed by nice to have.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

Expected Hours of Work & Salary:

An Employee must work a minimum of thirty (30) hours each week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes, however the expectations of the position will require an average of forty (40) hours with overtime required as scheduled. The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining an employee's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity). Brightcore also offers a comprehensive set of benefits to complement the base salary. The base salary hiring range for this position is $90,000.00-$130,000.00.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel may be required up to 30% to work/project sites in the greater Northeast Region (but not limited to) of the United States.
