Alamo Drafthouse is seeking a film-loving, roll up your sleeves Food & Beverage Project Manager to lead our food and beverage programs ranging from our core menu offering in the theater, to the cocktails in our specialty bars, to the cereal we serve at

CORE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uphold standards of behavior as defined by the company Core Values, Code of Conduct, and Operational Guidelines

  • Contribute to maintaining a strategic roadmap and target calendar for Alamo's Food and Beverage programs, including core, limited time offer, sponsorship, and private event menus

  • Assist with various menu initiatives in multiple capacities, up to, however not limited to

    • Comprehensive costing of the recipes and builds created by the F&B team.

    • Working with training to assist in the creation and proofreading of in-venue training materials for various menu initiatives and new venue openings.

    • Contribute to group training material proofreading exercises to achieve optimal team member comprehension and morale.

    • Working with the F & B team to organize, drive, and maintain an ever-evolving full nutritional information project.

    • Working in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Design teams for various menu initiatives, sponsored, and private events.

    • Working in collaboration with the Toast team for button and modifier creation for new menu items.

    • Assist in organizing and maintaining a clear schedule and lines of communication with various operators on local menu initiatives.

    • Working in lockstep with the Executive Chef to capture and record innovations and initiatives.

    • Contribute to group menu proofreading exercises to ensure optimal guest experience.

    • Maintains current recipe builds and up-to-date products in inventory software.

  • Assist in setting and consistently exceeding Food Safety standards and protocols in partnership with 3rd party partners for the Alamo brand.

  • Assists the F&B team with receiving, organizing, and maintaining Alamo Test Kitchen through inventorying samples, research & developmental prepared products, in accordance with the local health department protocols and ever-improving Alamo F&B standards.

  • Upholds a positive, respectful, and trust-based management style with team members while in the venues. Although venue training does not fall squarely in this Job Description, the F&B team makes our operator-facing attitudes consistently "upbeat" & compassionate.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Restaurant Management and/or Culinary Arts degree preferred

  • 7+ years of experience managing a high-volume Food and Beverage establishment with an emphasis on BOH procedures.

  • History of exceptional partnerships with both front and back of the house operations.

  • Strong proficiency with various software programs - powerpoint/slides, excel/sheets, word/docs

  • An improvise, adapt, and overcome attitude is paramount.

  • Existing knowledge or experience of ClickUp, Toast, Vista, Crunchtime is a major plus.
