Job description

Position Summary

The Inbound Operations Lead is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and operational support within the Receiving and Inventory departments of the distribution center. This position serves as a working leader, partnering with associates to ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant receipt, processing, storage, and control of inventory.

The Inbound Lead is expected to drive operational excellence, support associate development, monitor productivity and quality metrics, and promote a safe and efficient work environment. This role acts as a key resource for associates while helping leadership execute daily priorities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Schedule: 10:00AM - 6:30PM EST, Monday - Friday

Essential Responsibilities:

Receiving Operations

  • Coordinate daily receiving activities to ensure inbound shipments are processed accurately and on schedule.
  • Monitor workload distribution and adjust staffing priorities to meet operational demands.
  • Verify adherence to receiving procedures, documentation requirements, and inventory control processes.
  • Assist with the resolution of receiving discrepancies, damages, and shipment exceptions.
  • Support dock operations and maintain efficient product flow throughout the facility.

Inventory Control

  • Support inventory accuracy initiatives through cycle counting, reconciliation activities, and location management.
  • Investigate inventory variances and partner with leadership to determine root causes and corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with product movement, location audits, and inventory maintenance activities.
  • Support expiration monitoring, product quarantine processes, and inventory quality programs.

Team Leadership

  • Provide daily direction and support to Receiving and Inventory associates.
  • Train, coach, and mentor associates on standard operating procedures and best practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for inbound operations and inventory management processes.
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, and positive associate engagement.
  • Assist with onboarding and cross-training efforts within the department.

Operational Excellence

  • Track departmental productivity, quality, and service metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and associate-driven improvement projects.
  • Support department audits and compliance requirements.
  • Escalate operational concerns to leadership and assist in developing solutions.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to all company safety policies.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory, quality, and company requirements.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of pharmaceutical products and inventory.
  • Support housekeeping and 5S standards throughout the department.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 21 - 31 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
