  • Role Description

Catawba Fence is looking for an experienced, motivated Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for estimating residential and commercial fencing projects and managing awarded projects from start to finish.

We are looking for someone who understands construction, is comfortable working with customers and contractors, and can take ownership of a project from the initial estimate through final completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with residential and commercial customers to review project needs
  • Review plans, drawings, specifications, and project requirements
  • Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and material/labor takeoffs
  • Follow up on estimates and assist with closing projects
  • Coordinate awarded projects from start to finish
  • Order and coordinate materials needed for upcoming projects
  • Communicate with customers, general contractors, vendors, and field crews
  • Coordinate project schedules and installation timelines
  • Track project costs, changes, and overall job progress
  • Handle change orders and additional work as needed
  • Identify and resolve project issues before they affect deadlines
  • Maintain organized and accurate project documentation
  • Ensure projects are completed according to scope, schedule, and customer expectations

What We’re Looking For:

  • Construction industry experience is strongly preferred
  • Fence industry experience is a major plus
  • Previous estimating, quoting, or takeoff experience is highly preferred
  • Project management experience is preferred
  • Ability to read construction plans and specifications
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable communicating professionally with homeowners, contractors, vendors, and field employees
  • Ability to manage multiple active projects and deadlines at the same time
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through

Compensation:
