Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Project Manager to lead projects from the initial concept stage through turnover to the construction team. This role serves as the bridge between estimating, design, and operations, ensuring projects are well-planned, accurately budgeted, and positioned for successful execution.

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial construction experience, excellent financial and analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • Associate degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred

  • OR 5+ years of progressive experience in estimating, preconstruction, or commercial construction project planning

  • Experience working on commercial construction projects required

Key Skills
  • Strong budgeting, cost analysis, and financial management abilities

  • Experience with Procore and construction estimating software preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • Excellent client-facing communication and relationship-building skills

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to think strategically

  • Ability to travel and perform project site visits as needed

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage project budgets through conceptual, schematic, design development, and final construction phases
