Project Manager / Estimator

About Us

EverLine Coatings & Services Alabama is the leading line painting company in Alabama, offering asphalt sealcoating, crack filling, asphalt repair, line painting, and parking lot signage/accessories. We serve commercial and municipal clients across the Birmingham and Huntsville areas and are growing fast. We're looking for a Project Manager/Estimator to help us scope, price, and deliver quality work on time and on budget.

About the Role

The Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for evaluating job sites, preparing accurate bids and estimates, and overseeing projects from award through completion. This is a hands-on role that combines office-based estimating with field visits, client communication, and crew coordination. You'll be a key player in how we win and deliver work.

Responsibilities

• Visit job sites to assess scope, take measurements, and identify site conditions that affect pricing

• Prepare detailed, accurate estimates and proposals for sealcoating, line painting, crack filling, asphalt repair, and signage projects

• Review bid requests, plans, and specifications for commercial and municipal clients

• Track material and labor costs to ensure estimates support healthy margins

• Manage awarded projects from scheduling through completion, including crew coordination and quality checks

• Communicate with clients and property managers to answer questions, provide updates, and resolve issues

• Maintain organized records of bids, contracts, and project documentation

• Coordinate with crews and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule

• Identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy and project profitability

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in estimating and/or project management, ideally in asphalt, paving, sealcoating, construction, or a related trade

• Strong math skills and comfort working with measurements, square footage, and material calculations

• Proficiency with estimating software and standard office tools (Excel, email, etc.)

• Excellent communication skills, both with clients and internal crews

• Ability to read basic site plans and specifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits

• Self-motivated, able to manage multiple bids and projects at once

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience specifically in sealcoating, line striping, or asphalt maintenance

• Familiarity with municipal or commercial bid processes

• Background in construction estimating software
