Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Sales Account Manager / Estimator is responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships and preparing accurate, competitive estimates for HVAC, plumbing and electrical projects. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers from the initial sales call through job completion, identifying customer needs, preparing proposals, negotiating pricing and coordinating with internal teams to deliver successful projects.  The ideal candidate combines strong sales skills with estimating knowledge to drive revenue growth while maintaining Stegall Mechanical's commitment to quality and customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with residential, commercial, industrial and property management customers
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Sell maintenance agreements, service work, equipment replacements, renovations and capital improvement projects
  • Meet with customers to evaluate project needs and recommend HVAC, plumbing and electrical solutions
  • Review drawing, specifications and contract documents for bidding opportunities
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed estimates for labor, material, equipment, subcontractors and project costs
  • Prepare and present proposals and pricing
  • Manage multiple estimates and sales opportunities while meeting deadlines
  • Maintain CRM activity, estimating database, pipeline reporting and sales forecasting
  • Coordinate with Service, Construction, Project Management and Electrical departments
  • Participate in project turnover meetings after award
  • Represent Stegall Mechanical professionally and safely

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of estimating, outside sales, account management or project development experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical or construction
  • Ability to read blueprints and specifications
  • Strong estimating communication, negotiation and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM and estimating software
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted
  • Valid driver's license
